DIY Crafty Star for Wall Decor Gift:
This is a star that I decorated for wall decor for my mom for Christmas. It is super easy to make and a great present!
What you’ll need: plain metal star wall decor, glue, embellishments, scrapbooking paper, printed matte photos, and anything else you would like to add to it.
Basically, I found this star for a discounted price because the paint was scratched and that didn’t matter anyway. I then picked up scrapbooking paper individual pieces that matched my mother’s kitchen and family room color scheme. Next, measure the sided of your star and cut out a piece merely for measurement. You can then just flip this piece to each side to trace all of the parts of the star. Next go through and cut out the star parts with the measuring triangle and start gluing them on the star. While doing this, scrapbook the photos into the parts of the star as well and try to offset them. Also offset the pattern scrapbooking pieces and those that are solid colors. After this is all complete add your embellishments. I added pearls and flowers and a few other neat little touches. Comment with questions!
