It’s happening.
Our social lives…they’re happening again this summer.
At least in some way, shape or form.
They’re happening.
“WOOOOOOOOOOO!“
But also:
“AHHHHHHHHH!”
We all have mixed emotions about this transition, I know.
Perhaps one of the more light-hearted of those emotions is concern over the state of our current wardrobes.
Because what the HECK are we supposed to wear now that sweat pants and fuzzy socks are no longer the style for every day of the week?
I personally have had to do some serious closet-stocking to prepare.
Luckily our partners over at Priceless, a super-cute online boutique, sent me a few staple pieces to remind us that getting dressed for any occasion is still pretty easy. I’ve paired these with a few other simple items from the ole’ closet as well.
Whether it’s a date night out, a fun night at home with friends, or eating popcorn at a ball game, we’ve got outfit ideas and combinations for you.
Hopefully these ideas will help you conquer your upcoming social occasions—with bravery, a little awkwardness and a great outfit.
PS: Professional models were not exactly in the budget over here at Her Track, so the best we could come up with was…well, me.
So don’t worry, there are links to the items for every style.
1. Girl’s nights out on the town.
Girl’s nights are BACK, baby.
And all you need to succeed are a couple cute dresses or rompers, and versitile jackets.
I love this leather blazer for throwing over my shoulders when it starts to get chilly, as well as this black denim jacket for a more “night-out-at-the-bar” vibe than blue denim. A few solid-colored dresses can go a LONG way, and take on a totally different style depending on the jacket, accessories and shoes.
So don’t be afraid to mix and match as you and the girls start venturing out to new restaurants and bars this summer. And remember to get yourself a good pair of dancing shoes, while you’re at it!

2. Ball games and concerts.
Take us BACK out to the ball game again this summer. Along with concerts, street festivals, backyard picnics, cabin weekends and more.
This is where solid t-shirts, denim shorts, ball caps and cute sneakers will come in handy. You can remain cool, casual and cute all at once. I also am a big fan of the wrap-around-the-waist flannel and classic Chuck Taylor sneakers.

3. Date night.
Fancy dinners, restaurant weeks and romantic evenings in the city are on the horizon. As someone who started a relationship at the beginning of the pandemic, I know I have been personally thrilled about the chance to try new cities and restaurants together this summer. Maybe even do a little DANCING. A truly wild concept up until recently.
I LOVE the style of this floral romper from Priceless. The cutout back and lace top really adds an elegant touch. I’m also a big fan of longline-style blazers. They’re light and airy, and dress up your entire outfit.

4. Sunday brunches and beachy evenings.
Up until recently, there were legitamately NO occassions to wear a long flowly dress.
Now there are!
So why not?
From boozy brunches to fancy sunday events, finding a few flattering and flowy dresses can go a long way.

5. Casual house parties and game nights.
Last but not least, the classic jeans, tank top and sweater look for hanging out with friends.
The jeans are from Priceless, with a high-waisted, cozy fit and distressed wash, and the loose-knit sweater is from Francesca’s. I love this sweater so much that I have it in like three colors. I also have it paired with a knit tank, lace gray bralette and drop earrings.
Layers + jeans = the perfect outfit for any comfy night with friends.
Sharing stories and snacks. Sitting by the fire pit. Playing board games. Raising a glass to milestones.
Making memories together, again.
