This gift is classic for Valentine’s day or for any occasion really that you would like to make something for someone special to you. There are somany boxes at various craft websites and so many different routes to take when adding embellishments.I would recommend just going into the craft store with an open mind and getting all of the scrapbooking materials that fit. I would also recommend having a ton of modge-podge on hand!In these photos you will see I have gone a few directions (these are only two examples of the many memory boxes that I have created). You can get a box that has a frame in it and use one photo with different decorations as one option. Just make sure the photo fits into the frame and take out the plastic or glass sheet while you are decorating so it does not get covered in modge-podge.Iused tissue paper around the border because it was easy to lay on with the mode-podge and fit very nicely when forming around the heart shape.
You can also just use photos on a box and some scrapbooking paper. I would recommend actually using a high quality printer or some thinner photo paper for complete collaging because full thick photos do not bend easily around the corners. Adding your own littletouches on memory boxes is the most important element. I would say filling the boxes with a few memorable items to start off for your loved one is a great finishing touch!
